An Inter Institutional Programme was organized at Village Kalimati, Raipur block, Dehradun on 27th Dec. 2022 for the Field Officers/ trainees of Short course sponsored by Govt. of Punjab. The officers were apprised about various interventions related to soil and water conservation implemented by ICAR-IISWC under Institute Village Linkage Programme (IVLP) at village Kalimati. The officer interacted with the farmer beneficiaries of the village where a sub surface water harvesting tank was designed to store the natural spring water. The farmers shared their views on works carried out by ICAR--IISWC and told that they are getting increased production from agriculture after getting assured water supply. Now, the farmers are able to produce surplus production of crops for market sale also. Farmers also told that the water harvesting structure developed through participatory mode is functioning excellent at present also and it is managed through water user association. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Indu Rawat, Sr. Scientist, along with Dr. Abhimanyu Jhajharia, Scientist and Mr. Dharampal (Technician).
