A skill development training programme on ‘Effective water management for precision agriculture’ was organized during 13th Feb. to 13th March 2023 for U.G. students from ANGRAU, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The training programme was sponsored by ANGRAU, Guntur under IDP project in which 40 students (B.Sc and B.Tech students) from different colleges of ANGRAU participated. The course content was composed of 7 field visits, 4 practicals related to different softwares, 7 classes related to cost estimation of structure designing and case studies, 50 theory lectures and one doubt clearing session on various aspects of water management. During Valedictory programme of the training, Dr. M Madhu, Director of the Institute congratulated all the students for successfully completing the training programme and also motivated them to learn new things in their life. Dr. D V Singh, Head, HRD & SS Division briefed about the training programme and also discussed about leadership qualities. The training was coordinated by Dr. Lekh Chand, Principal Scientist and Dr. Indu Rawat, Sr. Scientist from HRD & SS Division. The faculties of the institute were also present during the programme. The programme was ended with formal vote of thanks by Dr. Lekh Chand, Course Coordinator.
