ICAR-IISWC, RC, Vasad organised inaugural function of one month training program on Sept. 04, 2023 & Meditation program for trainees of Course on Sept. 05, 2023

The inaugural function of one month training program for B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) students was organised at ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre-Vasad on 4th September 2023. The training is scheduled from 1st to 30th Sept. 2023 and it is being attended by 40 students (20 Boys and 20 Girls) from 03 state agricultural universities of Maharashtra i.e. (MPKV, Rahuri; VNMKVV, Parbhani and PDKV, Akola). Dr. Manish Das, Director and Project Coordinator, Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Research, Boriyavi, Anand was invited as the chief guest of the function.

Dr. M.J. Kaledhonkar, Head of the Centre, ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad welcomed the chief guest of function and briefed about training. The Chief Guest underlined the importance field training in profession courses and advised students to learn the different subject matter topics sincerely. He informed that there is lot of scope for soil water conservation engineering in different organizations and students should be ready to avail those opportunities.

He also invited students to visit (ICAR-DMAPR), Anand as well as Anand Agricultural University (AAU), Anand and AMUL Dairy plant at Anand. Dr. A. K. Singh, Principal Scientist, Dr. D. Dinesh, Senior Scientist, Dr. Gaurav Singh, Scientist and Dr. Dinesh Jinger, Scientist also attended the program and presented their views about the training course. The students also expressed their expectations from the training. A meditation program was also organized for the benefit of the students by the centre on 05 Sept. 2023 to with the help of Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishvavidyalaya, Vasad.

Both programs were organized by Dr Gaurav Singh, Scientist and Votes of thanks were delivered by Dr. Dinesh Jinger, Scientist to all concerned for providing all necessary help for successful organization of both the events.
